The Stanley No.6 is the fore plane — longer than the No.5, shorter than the No.7 or No.8 jointers. It serves as the transitional plane between jack plane and jointer work.
Cast iron Bailey-pattern body. Standard Bailey adjustment system. At 457 mm it provides enough length for bridging work.
