The Stanley No.2 is the smallest of the Bailey bench planes intended for two-handed use. It was produced in lower numbers than the other Bailey bench planes and is today a sought-after collector piece.
Cast iron Bailey-pattern body at reduced scale. All functional elements — frog, cap iron, adjustment system — are identical in principle to the larger models.
Fine smoothing of small surfaces and detail work where a larger plane would be impractical.
